Syllabus Overview
Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 is a state-level teacher eligibility examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC).
It serves as a mandatory qualifying test for candidates who wish to teach in government and government-aided primary and upper primary schools across Uttar Pradesh.
Clearing UPTET is the first and most essential step toward securing a stable and respected teaching career in one of India's largest states.
Important Dates & Updates
The official UPTET 2026 notification was released on 20 March 2026, and the online application window opened on 27 March 2026.
The last date to apply has been extended to 3 May 2026, and candidates can make corrections or complete fee payment till 8 May 2026.
A significant update in UPTET 2026 is the introduction of mandatory One Time Registration (OTR) — candidates must complete OTR before applying, otherwise the application will be rejected.
Exam Schedule
The exam will be held on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th July 2026 across Uttar Pradesh.

Paper 2: For Classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary Level)
