Application Fee
The Bihar ITI CAT 2026 application fee has been structured category-wise to maintain affordability for all groups of students. Candidates belonging to General, Economically Backward Class (EBC) and Other Backward Class (OBC) categories need to pay ₹750 as application fee.
For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the examination fee has been reduced to ₹100, which helps economically weaker students participate without financial burden.
Candidates under physically disabled category are required to pay ₹430 as application fee.
Payment must be completed online through approved digital methods including debit card, credit card, internet banking, UPI and wallet systems. Candidates should verify successful payment before final submission because incomplete fee payment may result in application rejection.
It is important to download fee receipt immediately after payment because it may be required during correction, admit card download or counseling stages.
Applicants are advised not to wait until the last date because payment gateway traffic often becomes heavy near deadline, which can create transaction failure.
Payment Mode: Online (Debit/Credit/Net Banking)
Age Limit (as on 14 Apr 2026)
Candidates applying for Bihar ITI CAT Admission 2026 must fulfill the prescribed age conditions issued by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board before submitting the online application form. The age calculation for this admission process will be considered as on 01 August 2026, so applicants should carefully verify their date of birth according to official educational documents before registration.
For most Industrial Training Institute trades available under Bihar ITI CAT 2026, the minimum required age is 14 years. This means candidates who have completed 14 years of age on or before 01 August 2026 are eligible to participate in the entrance examination and admission process. This eligibility allows students who have recently passed matriculation to directly enter technical and vocational training after school education.
However, certain mechanical trades have separate age requirements because they involve machinery operation, technical workshop handling, and practical industrial safety standards. For Motor Mechanic Tractor (MMT) and Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV) related courses, the minimum age required is 17 years. Candidates selecting these trades during counseling must ensure they satisfy this higher age condition, otherwise allotment for those specific trades may not be approved.
At present, no upper age limit has been specified in the official admission guidelines, which means adult applicants who meet educational qualifications can also apply for available ITI trades. This gives wider access to vocational education for students and job seekers from different age groups.
Applicants should ensure that the date of birth entered in the application form exactly matches the Class 10 certificate because any mismatch may create problems during counseling, document verification, or final admission. Reserved category candidates should also check whether any trade-specific relaxation applies in detailed prospectus before final submission. 📘✅
Educational Qualification
  • Candidates interested in Bihar ITI CAT Admission 2026 must satisfy the educational eligibility criteria prescribed by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board before filling out the online application form. The minimum academic requirement for this admission process is Class 10 (Matriculation) pass from any recognized board in India. Students who have completed secondary education from state boards, central boards, or equivalent recognized institutions are eligible to participate in the entrance examination.
  • Applicants who are currently appearing in the Class 10 examination during the academic session may also apply, provided they are able to submit proof of passing before the final admission stage. This provision allows current students to register early and secure eligibility for technical training opportunities after school completion.
  • The Bihar ITI CAT entrance examination is mainly designed for students seeking admission into industrial and vocational training trades offered in government and private Industrial Training Institutes across Bihar. These trades include technical programs such as electrician, fitter, welder, mechanic, electronics, plumbing, computer-related vocational courses, and several industrial skill-based disciplines.
  • Although general eligibility remains matriculation pass, some technical trades may require students to have studied science or mathematics at secondary level because of practical workshop-based training. Trade allotment during counseling may therefore depend on course-specific eligibility and seat availability.
  • Candidates should ensure that the name, father’s name, date of birth, and qualification details entered in the application form exactly match their Class 10 marksheet or certificate. Incorrect educational information can create difficulty during counseling and document verification.
  • It is advisable to keep scanned copies of marksheet, certificate, recent photograph, and identity documents ready before starting the registration process so that form submission can be completed smoothly without delay. 🎓📄✅
