Exam Description & Important Information
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC GD Constable Admit Card 2026 on its official website ssc.gov.in on 24 April 2026. This admit card is issued for the Computer Based Test (CBT) being conducted for the recruitment of Constable (General Duty) across central armed police forces including BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, NCB, SSF, and Assam Rifles. A total of 25,487 vacancies are being filled through this recruitment drive.

The CBT examination is scheduled to be held from 27 April 2026 to 30 May 2026 across multiple exam centres throughout India. Candidates who successfully completed the slot selection process between 11 to 15 April 2026 can now download their hall ticket by logging into the SSC candidate portal using their Enrollment Number or Registration Number along with their Date of Birth.

How to Download SSC GD Constable Admit Card 2026
To access and download the admit card, candidates must follow these steps carefully. First, visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in. On the homepage, navigate to the Login section. Enter your registered Enrollment Number or Registration Number and your Date of Birth in the required fields. After successful login, locate the SSC GD Constable CBT Admit Card 2026 link and click on it. Your hall ticket will appear on the screen. Verify all details carefully before downloading. Save the file and take a clear black-and-white or colour printout on A4-size paper. Documents to Carry on Exam Day
Every candidate must bring the printed admit card along with one original valid photo identity proof issued by a government authority. Accepted identity documents include Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Passport, PAN Card, Driving Licence, and any other government-issued photo ID. A photocopy of the ID proof alone will not be accepted. Candidates who appear without both the admit card and a valid original photo ID will not be permitted to enter the examination hall under any circumstances.

Important Exam Day Instructions
Candidates must report to the assigned examination centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled exam start time. The entry gate will be closed 15 minutes before the exam begins, and no candidate will be allowed entry after gate closing time, regardless of the reason. It is strongly advised to check the exam centre address on the admit card well in advance and plan travel accordingly to avoid last-minute delays.

The following items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall:
Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, or any electronic gadget
Calculators, mathematical instruments, or geometry tools
Wallets, handbags, pouches, or any kind of bag
Any printed or handwritten study material
Food items, water bottles with labels, or beverages other than a transparent plain water bottle

Candidates found in possession of any prohibited item will be disqualified from the examination and may face further action as per SSC rules.

Selection Process Overview
Candidates who qualify the CBT Written Examination will be called for the next stages of the recruitment. The complete SSC GD Constable 2026 selection process consists of four stages. The first stage is the Computer Based Test covering subjects including General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi. Candidates who clear the CBT will appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). Shortlisted candidates then go through Document Verification followed by a Medical Examination. Final selection is based on overall performance across all stages.

The minimum educational qualification required is passing Class 10th (Matriculation) or its equivalent from any recognised Board. The age limit for this recruitment is a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 23 years, calculated as on 01 January 2026. Steps to Download Admit Card
  1. Step : Visit the Official SSC Website - Open your browser and go to the official website of Staff Selection Commission — ssc.gov.in. Make sure you are visiting the correct official website only. Avoid any third-party or unofficial websites for downloading the admit card.
  2. Step : Click on the Login Button - On the SSC homepage, look for the "Login" button available on the top right corner or in the main navigation menu. Click on it. This will take you to the SSC candidate login portal.
  3. Step : Enter Your Credentials - On the login page, you will see two options to log in. Enter either your Enrollment Number or your Registration Number in the required field. Then enter your Date of Birth in the DD-MM-YYYY format as registered during the application. Enter the Captcha Code shown on the screen carefully and click the Login / Submit button.
  4. Step : Go to Admit Card Section - After successful login, your candidate dashboard will open. Look for the link or button that says "SSC GD Constable CBT Admit Card 2026" or "Download Admit Card". Click on it.
  5. Step : Verify Your Details on Screen - Your admit card will appear on the screen as a PDF. Before downloading, carefully check and verify all the details printed on it including your full name, roll number, date of birth, photograph, signature, exam date, exam shift timing, and exam centre name and address. All details must match your original application form.
  6. Step : Download the Admit Card PDF - If all details are correct, click the Download button or use Ctrl + S to save the admit card PDF file on your device. Save it in a location where you can easily find it later.
  7. Step : Take a Printout - Open the downloaded PDF file and print it on A4-size paper. Use a clear black-and-white or colour printer. Make sure the photograph, signature, and all text are clearly visible on the printout. Blurry or faded printouts may be rejected at the exam centre.
  8. Step : Keep Multiple Copies Safe -Take at least 2 to 3 printouts of the admit card and keep them safely. You will need the admit card not only on the CBT exam day but also for all subsequent stages of the recruitment process including PET, PST, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
